Dental Staff

Dr. John Petersen grew up in St. Anthony, Minnesota. He went on to the University of Minnesota & received an undergraduate degree in Biology.  Dr. Petersen continued studying at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating with distinction honors. After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Petersen completed a General Practice Residency program at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. During his time at the Minneapolis VA, he underwent advanced training in a variety of areas, including the treatment of medically complex patients, periodontics, oral surgery, root canal therapy & prosthodontics. In his free time, he enjoys running, traveling & spending time up north with his family & friends. Dr. Petersen and his wife, Mallory, have a beautiful baby daughter and are enjoying watching her grow!

Dr. Petersen is a 1985 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He completed a General Practice Residency Program at Hennepin County Medical Center the following year, and obtained additional experience in dental trauma, oral surgery, prosthodontics, hospital dentistry and treating patients with special needs.

Dr. Michael and his wife live in St. Anthony. They have three adult children. In their free time they enjoy running, travel and hiking, fishing and spending time with family at their cabin in northern Minnesota.

Joan graduated from the University of Minnesota and has been a dental hygienist for 32 years. She loves meeting new patients and catching up with current patients when they come in for their hygiene appointment. She and her husband have 3 wonderful children who are all graduates of the University of Minnesota and all former members of the University of Minnesota's drumline. Joan loves traveling (especially to Norway), running, walking her two dogs, waterskiing, and cheering for the Gophers.

Margie has lived in Coon Rapids for the past 22 years and has 3 grown children. Her daughter is an accountant and lives in Anchorage, Alaska. Her son is a machinist and lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Margie's other son is a letter carrier and is saving for his own home. Margie has been a Dental Assistant for 30+ years. In her spare time she loves gardening flowers and going to museums as well as attending the Institute of Arts. 

Becky is a resident of St. Anthony Village and is excited to be working and serving patients in her own community. She has been in the dental field for 25+ years and her favorite thing about it is connecting with all of the patients. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, baking, crafting, and spending time with her family - including her crazy dog Dolly.
